Creating and Owning your Small Business, how does one know that they are succeeding?

Most people would believe or define success as simply making money; being able to buy materialistic possessions, buying real estate properties.

For me, simply creating and owning a Small Business is already a good start. But the biggest thing that tells me that I am succeeding is getting out and meeting with other Small Business owners.

In the last month, I have got to meet many new Small Business owners. Discussing with them the different ways The Regoli Company can help them out with the services that I offer. Every single one of them have been very, very receptive.

    I am being successful.

  • Why Crypto Could Gain Momentum During an Energy Crisis and Dollar Uncertainty

In times of global instability, markets tend to shift in ways that challenge traditional assumptions. With rising geopolitical tensions, energy supply disruptions, and concerns around currency stability, many analysts and investors are beginning to ask a new question:

Could cryptocurrency become a more widely adopted financial tool in the years ahead?

The Energy Crunch Is Reshaping Global Economics

Recent geopolitical developments, particularly involving tensions in the Middle East, have placed strain on global energy supplies. Disruptions to key shipping routes have historically impacted oil flow, driving prices higher and increasing inflationary pressure.

    For businesses, this translates into:

    • Higher operational costs
    • Increased transportation expenses
    • Reduced consumer purchasing power

In short, the foundation of the global economy, cheap and stable energy, is becoming less certain.

The U.S. Dollar Faces New Pressures

The U.S. dollar has long been the world’s dominant reserve currency. However, periods of geopolitical conflict and increased government spending can create pressure on currency stability over time.

In prolonged conflict scenarios, analysts often point to:

    • Increased government spending
    • Potential inflationary pressure
    • Shifts in global demand for alternative assets

These factors can lead investors and businesses to explore alternatives to traditional fiat currencies.

    Where Crypto Enters the Conversation

Cryptocurrency was originally designed to operate outside of centralized financial systems, making it attractive during uncertainty.

Recent trends suggest crypto assets like Bitcoin may:

    • Act as an alternative store of value in unstable conditions
    • Gain attention when traditional markets become volatile
    • See increased adoption in regions experiencing currency devaluation

In several countries facing inflation or capital controls, individuals have already turned to crypto as a way to preserve value and move funds more freely.

Additionally, some analysts believe that macroeconomic pressure, including currency debasement and reduced trust in centralized systems, could accelerate interest in decentralized finance.

    But It’s Not That Simple

While the narrative of crypto as a financial alternative is gaining traction, reality remains complex.

    Crypto markets are still:

    • Highly volatile
    • Influenced by speculation
    • Subject to regulatory changes

Even during global uncertainty, crypto does not always behave as a consistent “safe haven,” meaning its role in the financial system is still evolving.

    What This Means for Businesses

For business owners, the takeaway is not necessarily to shift entirely into crypto, but to remain informed and adaptable.

    Consider:

    • Monitoring crypto adoption in your industry
    • Exploring payment flexibility, including digital assets
    • Staying updated on regulations
    • Diversifying financial strategies where appropriate

Periods of disruption often create both risk and opportunity, and informed businesses are better positioned to respond.

    Final Thoughts

The combination of energy instability, geopolitical tension, and currency concerns is creating a unique economic environment. In this landscape, cryptocurrency is increasingly being discussed as more than just a speculative asset.

Whether it becomes a dominant financial tool remains uncertain, but the broader shift toward alternative systems is already underway.

The financial landscape is changing, and awareness is the first advantage.

  • Signs of an Improving Economy and What They Mean for Everyday Life

Over the past few years, economic conversations have often centered on uncertainty. Rising prices, higher interest rates, and global instability made it difficult for individuals and businesses to plan confidently. Recently, however, several indicators suggest the economy is beginning to stabilize and, in many areas, improve. While no recovery is perfect or evenly felt, these trends point toward cautious optimism.

Stronger Job Markets and Wage Growth

One of the clearest signals of economic improvement is continued strength in the labor market. Employment levels remain high across many sectors, and businesses are still competing for skilled workers. This competition has helped drive wage growth, particularly in industries that struggled with staffing shortages.

For workers, this can mean more job security, better pay, and greater flexibility when considering career moves. For employers, it encourages investment in training, retention, and workplace improvements to stay competitive.

Cooling Inflation Brings Relief to Households

Inflation has been a major concern for families and businesses alike. While prices remain higher than they were several years ago, the pace of inflation has slowed. This easing allows households to better predict monthly expenses and gives businesses more confidence when setting prices or planning future projects.

A slower rate of price increases does not feel dramatic, but over time it restores purchasing power and reduces financial stress. Even modest improvements can make budgeting feel manageable again.

    Business Confidence Is Rebounding

Economic recovery is often driven as much by confidence as by data. Recent surveys show that many business owners are becoming more optimistic about the future. Increased confidence leads to expansion, hiring, equipment purchases, and marketing efforts.

Small and mid-sized businesses play a critical role in local economies. When they invest, communities benefit through job creation and improved services. This renewed willingness to plan ahead is a positive sign for sustained growth.

    Consumer Spending Remains Resilient

Despite higher interest rates, consumer spending has remained surprisingly strong. People continue to prioritize essential purchases while also spending selectively on travel, entertainment, and home improvements. This balance suggests that consumers are adapting rather than retreating.

Stable spending supports businesses across many industries and helps prevent economic slowdowns from accelerating. When consumers feel confident enough to spend, it reinforces the broader recovery.

    What This Means Moving Forward

An improving economy does not eliminate financial challenges, and not everyone experiences recovery at the same pace. However, the combination of steady employment, easing inflation, and renewed business confidence creates a healthier foundation for long-term growth.

For individuals, this may be a good time to revisit financial goals, whether that involves saving, investing, or making strategic purchases. For businesses, it is an opportunity to refine operations, strengthen customer relationships, and prepare for future demand.

Economic progress rarely arrives all at once. Instead, it builds gradually through consistent improvement across multiple areas. The current trends suggest that while caution remains wise, optimism is increasingly justified.

  • As I See it – Sunday Night, April 13th, 2025

Our overall outlook for the State of Ohio’s economy continues to be very positive. Opportunities for Growth are encouraging for Ohio’s small businesses.

One of the Industries that are rebounding is the Oil & Gas sector. As the price of Oil on the World’s Markets continues to drop, the demand for Natural Gas will increase. This will only incentivise increased gas production thru existing wells and new wells that are started, in the State.

Here in the Eastern and Southeastern Ohio, I am seeing more small businesses getting a foothold and benefitting from the region’s Oil & Gas resurgence. Cities like Barnesville, Cadiz, Cambridge, Caldwell, Carrollton, Woodsfield

    & St. Clairsville are growing.
